Slavery

Royson James had a headline story in the Star about some clown who interrupted a British ceremony celebrating the end of the slave trade. James had the utmost sympathy for him and thinks an apology for slavery is long overdue.

Maybe instead some time and effort might be more useful for those putting so much effort into demanding an apology to rather focus on Darfur, Sudan, Somalia, Mugabe, and convincing Mbeki that aids is real.

Random

Is Jim Travers as ridiculous as Haroon Siddiqui? Does the Star have a policy of hiring old fools as writers?

So the CRA online filing system blows up. Maybe if tax returns became simple and understandable wouldn't need online and wouldn't need to buy tax programs or pay tax preparers - no wonder there is such a large underground economy.

Do people that get cosmetic surgery to stay young not realize who sad and pathetic they look?

Some judges now feel that access to the legal system is out of reach for most people (those that can't get legal aid). Well maybe if it was operated like OHIP it would be accessible to everyone and the idiotic fees would be reduced. And if cases stopped being remanded it would certainly speed up the process. Maybe one day we will have a justice system instead of a legal system.

Ha Ha Looks good on You

The Star lost a $1.5 million lawsuit for libel or slander or some such - they are appealing of course.
The National Post had to apologize for some nonsense dickhead Kinsella wrote.

Just maybe it might lead to some real journalists again not just a bunch of hacks promoting their own points of view and calling it reporting.
