Year in Review

In January we went to Las Vegas for two weeks. Our first time there and had a very good time between sightseeing and the gaming. February, Barbara went out to Edmonton for a few days to cook for Chrissy. In March we saw Chubby Checker, Engelbert, the Irish Tenors, and John and I went to the Rumble. April, we went to see the Golden Boys and I survived another birthday. In May Chrissy surprised us with a visit, we saw Howie Mandel, Kenny Rogers, and the Voca People. We also finished our bowling year with a banquet. In June we saw Daniel O'Donnell, Ray Price, and John and I took in another Rumble. Barbara celebrated her birthday. Tommy graduated from York and threw an awesome party here. During July we saw Bobby Vee, Tim Allen, John Mellancamp, and Merle Haggard. I also agreed to go back to work one day a week until it snowed. In August, I went out to Edmonton and surprised Chrissy for her birthday - had a very nice time although it meant missing the Parker cousin's get together. We saw Le Grand Cirque and Kris Kristoferson. This was also the month of Vanessa and Andrew's wedding which was very nice. September had some sad news with John and Donna parting after 27 years. We saw Jeff Bridges, Aretha Franklin (yuk), Diana Ross, and Spirit of the Dance. Closer to home in October we saw an excellent tribute to Leonard Cohen at Hugh's Room, we also saw Vince Gill, America, and John and I took in another Rumble. Very sadly, Sammy, our duck of 14 years passed away. In November we saw Dancing Queen, Montgomery Gentry, BB King, and the Spirit of Christmas. We also spent 4 days in Vegas at Vdara. During December we saw the 10 Tenors and also went to Brian's wedding which was a great time. For Christmas Eve we had the usual spread and the usual people as well as John this year. During the year Allyson and I took in a number of Blue Jays games (although I missed the opener due to the flu), Tommy, Allyson, Barbara, and I bowled as a team (the Sledpins), I continued the traditional beer nights, and Barbara and I visited Rama and Fallsview regularly.
