Tamils are a real pain in the ass. Not only for the inconvenience and illegality of their demonstrations but because they make us ambivalent about the right and wrong of them.

In a democracy we have the right to protest in a lawful manner. Do most Canadians care about what is happening in someone else's former homeland? I don't think so - maybe some failed hippies or boomers with a guilty conscience might make some noise in support of the illegal demonstrations.

Now that we are more aware of why they are demonstrating we can have some sympathy but also need to question the veracity of what they are saying.
