Christmas

I grew up with Christmas trees, Christmas plays, Santa Claus, presents, lights, turkey and the good cheer that the season always seemed to bring.
When I got married my waspish Christmas celebration traditions mingled with Polish Catholic traditions and made it even better. Even though both sets of parents have passed on, they remain with us through our Christmas memories and old/new traditions.
Probably the strongest pull of Christmas is homecoming and everyone with parents, grandparents, or grown children and grandchildren know the joy and pleasure that coming home for Christmas provides.
This year after our extended family had left after our Christmas eve dinner and celebration, sitting up until after 5:00 in the morning laughing and talking with our young adult children was a real joy even though we had to be up Christmas day for presents and turkey again.

So when some politically correct shit eating morons try to be inclusive by being exclusive I can only say fuck off and die. It's not a festive season or a happy holiday season it's Christmas. You want to take Christmas away from me because it might offend someone - well show me that someone that's offended and I can likely find something very offensive about them within 30 seconds.

In most other parts of the world, the idiot Christmas tree judge would already have had to step down - but here in Toronto they'll probably deify her instead - what a sad sad situation.

When it comes to political discussion on blogs there is virtually no constructive debate. It is generally all cheapshots and kneejerk response. Are all these people living in their mommy's basement and are unemployed.
Whatever it is, they all seem to come from the Kinsella school of groinshot.
